- Why should I choos Massage House for tantric massage?
If massage, or different types of massage, come up as a topic, many (among others) will most likely think of traditional Thai massage with a history of 2,500 years. Why it is considered one of the most popular and effective Eastern remedies in the world.
History of oily thai massage?
Perhaps few people know about it, but (like Swedish / classical massage) the basics of Thai massage are not originally related to Thailand. It is believed that the basics of Thai massage, which coincided with the ideas of Buddhism to the territory of present-day Thailand in the 3rd-4th centuries, originated from the teachings of the doctor / healer of Indian descent Jivaka Kumar Baccha. Jivaka Kumar Baccha is named after the first hospital and then the foundation of the school where Thai massage was performed. His name and memory are still highly respected to this day, for example, fresh flowers are often brought to the statue.
The oily Thai massage industry itself is a later trend that combines traditional Thai massage with oily therapeutic methods. However, there are no specific records of when this type was first used. The various oils are at least as popular as the individual types of massage, their traditions go back even longer than those of Thai massage.
The ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Indians, and Chinese (to name just a few ethnic groups) also used aroma extracts to create spiritual and spiritual balance.
Choice of oils
The choice of oils depends largely on what the purpose of the massage is, what our purpose is with it.
For example, if you want to create a relaxing atmosphere, you can choose lavender or rose extract preparations, as these scents are known to have a calming effect on the nervous system.
But if we want to hydrate our skin, or perhaps want to refresh it a little bit, both physically and mentally, we can easily come across the oil that works best for us.
The range of possibilities is almost endless. From eucalyptus to fruity aromas, you can find virtually anything on store shelves today. However, it is definitely worth paying attention to quality.
Oil, as I mentioned, is a particularly popular substance. One of the advantages of this is that it is easy to access, not difficult to obtain, and because of its diversity, it can be boldly recommended to anyone. (Except, of course, for those who suffer from some kind of skin irritation, skin disease.) The downside, however, is that we can run into plenty of cheap but less quality formulations that less knowledgeable individuals, lay people, can mix with real quality oils. It may therefore be worthwhile to approach this matter with caution, but with sufficient openness.
Arrangements
In the case of Thai oil massage, the preparations are also extremely important, both for the patient and the place where the massage is performed. It is best for the client to wear underwear and cover other parts of the body that the masseuse or masseuse is not currently working with a towel.
Hygiene: if the guest does not have the opportunity to shower or have a bath, there are other ways to clean the surface of the body, paying particular attention to the hands and feet.
An important rule is that the massaged and massaging party should not be hungry, but should not arrive with a full stomach. To create an idyllic atmosphere, you may want to use some pleasant-smelling incense, candles and even the aforementioned essential oils. These simple, easily accessible tools can make even the most ordinary massage room more magical. Of course, setting the right room temperature is also cardinal for the ideal environment. (Needless to say, cleaning and disinfecting the site requires extreme thoroughness both before and after treatment.)
The nature of oily Thai massage
- During the massage, it is practical to apply the dishes of the traditional Thai massage on the still dry skin surface before using the oil.
Each catch is applied back and forth to the current body area, often first upwards and then downwards. - Apply the oil to the subject’s body with two-handed parallel, fan, transverse or forearm smoothings. However, before doing so, it is recommended to heat the oil by hand. (It is advisable to pour the oil into smaller bowls and immerse it. This massage uses more oil than other types of oily massage.)
- After that, we apply rubbing movements, shifting the skin away from the bases of the connective tissue. This results in, among other things, dissolving muscle adhesions, reducing muscle tension, and relieving pain.
- Then, using tapping moments with a hand or a slap, the massage performer enhances the skin tone and then stimulates the energy channels with pressure techniques with the thumb, palm, forearm or even the elbow. The massage is performed on well-known, traditional Thai energy tracks.
Perhaps an interesting fact for some may be that during a Thai oil massage, the face is massaged not with oil but with cream, preferably with some neutral moisturizer. (In Thailand, massaging the face is really exhausting in penetrating energy points.)
Although the feeling of the oil on the skin may be unpleasant for many in the long run, their relaxing and healing effect can really be felt if not washed off for a few hours after a massage. (But of course it depends on the specific needs of the guest.)
Effects
Both local and general effects are present during treatment. Local effects include
- increased blood and lymphatic circulation, as well as blood flow, sweat and sebaceous glands,
- adhesions disappear,
- and skin becomes more elastic.
- In addition, general effects include analgesia, circulatory and detoxifying effects, and promotion of more efficient renal and intestinal function.
Contraindications
As usual, Thai oil massage has its own contraindications. It is important to take responsibility for such treatment. (This applies to both the massage performer and the massaged patient.)
- Varicose veins,
- inflammation,
- skin lesions, cancer,
- heart failure,
- severe asthma,
- menstrual cycle,
- infectious disease,
- osteoporosis, and non-osteoporosis in the first three and last months of pregnancy.
Indications
However, it is safe to recommend this type of massage:
- to those who do sedentary work or may lead a sedentary lifestyle
- it can also help individuals with heavy physical work
- those with rheumatic, sleep and joint complaints
- even athletes
- those with a calm heart can also try their luck with it if they want to reduce the accumulated tension or who just want a general wellness treatment.
To sum up, practically anyone can recommend Thai oil massage to anyone, of course, only if none of the contraindications fit us. If you are fundamentally interested in the various massage industries, you may want to try this type at least once. It is a great combination of respectful traditions with a historical past and openness, the subject, the traditional method and the diverse, popular oil as a material used.
